Backend Developer for an AI-Powered Lead Generation MVP

What We Need
You will be responsible for designing and developing a streamlined backend that integrates several APIs for lead generation, messaging, and reporting, all delivered in a friendly, user-centric way. No dashboards or overly complex features, just core functionalities that make a difference to small business owners.
Skills and Experience Required
- •Proficiency in Node.js
- •Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (preferably PostgreSQL and MongoDB)
- •Experience with integrating third-party APIs, including OAuth, API keys, and secure communication
- •Familiarity with lead generation APIs (Clearbit, Apollo) is a plus
Your Role
- •Integrate lead generation APIs to gather and filter data
- •Build WhatsApp communication features for welcoming customers, sharing updates, and simple lead interactions using 360dialog
- •Automate introductory emails using services like SendGrid or Mailgun
- •Generate and share lead reports via WhatsApp in formats like Google Sheets or CSV
- •Maintain a lightweight backend architecture that's extensible
Preferred Experience
- •Building efficient, scalable services (e.g., serverless on AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, etc.)
- •Experience with messaging APIs (e.g., 360dialog WhatsApp API)
- •Knowledge of automating email systems (e.g., SendGrid, Mailgun)
- •Generating and sharing simple reports (e.g., Google Sheets, Dropbox)
- •Working with CRM-style data handling and cloud storage services
- •Experience with LLMs (OpenAI GPT, Cohere) for text generation and data enrichment
- •Proven ability to develop MVPs or rapid prototypes with a focus on simplicity and speed
